Pokrovsk cathedral is the original masterpiece of Russian orthodox architecture. Before the XVII-th century it was called as Troitsk as the initial wooden temple has been devoted to the Sacred Trinity. Nowadays the Pokrovsk cathedral, also Vasiliy Blazhenniy's temple, is included into the List of objects of the World cultural heritage of UNESCO in Russia.
