CHINA – Postcard from Lhasa - Tibete, China to Braga, Portugal

Postcard of the Potala Palace complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with special red cancellation at the back posted on December, 13 2011.
(A very special thanks to my best friend Terence Wong)

Lhasa (Tibetan ལྷ་ས་, Traditional Chinese拉薩) literally means "place of the gods".
At an altitude of 3,490 metres, Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world. It contains many culturally significant Tibetan Buddhist sites such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Norbulingka palaces.
